Artifacts

Well done, Alice! Great job on your contribution to the Systems Approach presentation. You presented with strong projection and confidence, and your ability to deliver your content without notes demonstrated excellent preparation and a clear understanding of the material.

You brought a natural, easy presence to your part of the presentation, which made it engaging and accessible for the audience. One important note is that some of the content on the slides is very small, so it would be difficult to read from the back of a room. You want to make sure everyone can read equally!

Overall, your portion of the presentation stood out for its clarity and professionalism. Well done!

Reflections

  1. What has been especially impactful/meaningful/important to you personally and professionally?

My supervision experience is still unfolding, so my most impactful moments lies in my field work with supervisees, and witnessing all the ways in which my classroom knowledge has richly blessed our work together.

  2. Describe an area of strength that you have developed while in the program in this area of competency. What is one way you plan to utilize this strength in your vocation?

Understanding my supervision model has completely changed the way I engage with supervision. My strength lies in my ability to take classroom knowledge into the field. I am able to build better and stronger relationships with my supervisees by making helpful information accessible and digestible.

  3. Describe an area of challenge/growth opportunity in this area of competency. What is your plan to develop excellence in this area?

Working with students based on their developmental model always creates new opportunities for growth. I notice that I can sometimes underestimate or overestimate my supervisees abilities. I need to be mindful of balance. My plan is to pay attention to the developing needs of the students, which can serve as a guide to what I expect from students.

  4. Reflect on how faith in Christ relates to this competency.

Everything we do happens in stages and phases. the Bible tells us in Ecclesiastes about the natural occurrence of life. Still, we are encouraged 2nd Peter 3:18 “grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ”
